Example: 15% of 200 = 30
Positive = increase, Negative = decrease
Three modes โ find, compare, and track changes
This tool has three modes. "X% of Y" finds a percentage of a number (e.g., 15% of 2000 = 300). "X is ?% of Y" tells you what percentage one number is of another (e.g., 300 is 15% of 2000). "% Change" computes how much a value has increased or decreased between two numbers.
Percentage calculations are used everywhere: discounts while shopping, exam scores, salary hikes, tax computations, interest rates, and statistical analysis.
Use the "X% of Y" tab. Enter 20 in Percentage and 500 in Of Value. Result = 100. Formula: (20 ÷ 100) × 500 = 100.
% Change = ((New − Old) ÷ Old) × 100. Positive = increase; negative = decrease. Example: 500 to 650 = 30% increase.
Use the "X is ?% of Y" tab. Enter 300 and 1200. Result: 25%. Formula: (300 ÷ 1200) × 100 = 25%.
